Swedish (Stockholm) band Shout Out Louds was formed in 2001 by childhood friends Adam Olenius (vocals), Ted Malmros (bass) and Carl von Arbin (guitar). Drummer Eric Edman and keyboardist Bebban Stenborg completed the formation of the group, which signed with the Bud Fox label, for which they released their debut album, Howl Howl Gaff Gaff, in 2003.
The vigorous indie pop/rock of Shout Out Louds achieved great success in Sweden and later gained admirers in other countries. In 2005, the album Howl Howl Gaff Gaff was released in the United States.
Produced by Björn Yttling (from Peter Bjorn and John, the band's second album, Our Ill Wills, came out in 2007 carrying a darker and more melancholy sound.
Subsequently, Shout Out Louds released the albums Work (2010) and Optica (2013). The band returned with a new studio album in 2017 when they released Ease My Mind. In 2022, the band returned with House.
