Miki Berenyi, who emerged on the alternative scene in the 1990s as the leader of Lush — one of the iconic shoegaze bands —, is preparing to release the first album of her new project, Miki Berenyi Trio. Kevin ‘Moose’ McKillop (guitar) and Oliver Cherer (bass) are her bandmates, who had previously worked with Berenyi in Piroshka, another project of the artist formed in 2018 with Justin Welch (Elastica), Michael Conroy (Modern English) and the aforementioned McKillop.
Miki Berenyi Trio will release Tripla on April 4th through the Bella Union label. From this album, we can already hear the track “8th Deadly Sin”.
