American musician Marnie Stern, born on March 18, 1976, drew attention for her guitar playing ability and style. With punk and experimental rock as the main inspirations for her music, Stern cited King Crimson, Erase Errata, Yoko Ono, Royal Trux, Television, Bruce Springsteen, The Who and Talking Heads as some of her influences.
In 2007, she released her first album, In Advance of the Broken Arm, on the Kill Rock Stars label. The singer/songwriter's debut album was well received by critics, including a positive review from The New York Times.
Entitled This Is It and I Am It and You Are It and So Is That and He Is It and She Is It and It Is It and That Is Tha, Marnie Stern's second album came out in 2008, being included in the list "The 50 Best Albums of 2008" from Pitchfork.
She also received favorable reviews with her following works: Marnie Stern (2010) and The Chronicles of Marnia (2013). Ten years later, she returned with The Comeback Kid, another critically acclaimed work.
