American experimental rock band, Algiers was formed in 2007 by Franklin James Fisher (vocals, guitar), Ryan Mahan (bass) and Lee Tesch (guitar). In his music are elements of various styles, such as post-punk, funk, gospel and soul, presenting similarity with TV on the radio.
In 2015, Algiers released his first album, the same name, by the Matador label. In the same year, the former Bloc Party Matt Tong was entered the band's formation.
Matador Records released the band's second album in 2017, titled The Underside of Power. In January 2020 arrived There Is No Year. Samuel T. Herring (Future Islands), Zack de La Rocha and Backxwash are some of Shook's various collaborators, work of 2023.
