Caribou is an electronic music project led by Canadian Dan Snaith, singled out by many as one of the most creative musicians of his genre in the early 2000s. Experimentalism and melody fit his electronic songs perfectly.
In the early 2000s, the musician released his first works under the name of Manitoba, but due to the threat of a lawsuit, he was forced to rename this project to Caribou in 2004.
Manitoba released several singles and the albums Start Breaking My Heart (2001) and Up in Flame (2003).
In 2005, Caribou released their first album, The Milk of Human Kindness, which came out on the Domino label. Andorra, an album released in 2007, won the Canadian Polaris Music Prize, 2008.
In 2010, Caribou released his third album, entitled Swim, by Merge Records. Four years later, Our Love was released, which featured the track Can't Do Without You". In 2020, Suddenly arrived, followed by Honey (2024).
