In early 2009, Jack White came up with a new musical project. After the Raconteurs, this time the White Stripes frontman joined forces with Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Jack Lawrence (Raconteur) and Dean Fertita (Queens Of The Stone Age), forming The Dead Weather.
The band released their first album, Horehound, in July 2009. The group's second album, Sea of Cowards, came out the following year.
The Dead Weather released their third album, Dodge and Burn, in September 2015.
