Soccer Mommy is the stage name adopted by American Sophia Regina Allison, born on May 27, 1997. The singer caught the attention of music publications in 2018, when she released the album Clean. At the time, she cited Angel Olsen, Mitski, Slowdive, The War on Drugs and Bruce Springsteen as the artists she was inspired by, and Taylor Swift and Avril Lavigne as influential singers in her teens.
Before Clean, considered her first official album, the artist released the records For Young Hearts (2016) and Collection (2017). In 2020, Soccer Mommy released the critically acclaimed Color Theory. The singer returned in 2022 with Sometimes, Forever.
In 2023, she released Karaoke night, an EP featuring covers of songs by Pavement (“Here”), Sheryl Crow (“Soak up to the sun”), Slowdive (“Dagger”), Taylor Swift (“I’m only me when I’m with you”) and R.E.M. (“Losing my religion”). The following year, Evergreen, her fourth album, arrived.
