Melody's Echo Chamber is a project by French artist Melody Prochet. His music has dream pop as its reference genre. But, it explores elements of space rock, psychedelic rock and shoegaze. Critics point to similarities in his work with artists such as Beach House, Broadcast, Stereolab and Cocteau Twins.
Her first self-titled album was released in 2012. This work was produced by her then-boyfriend Kevin Parker (Tame Impala). Melody Prochet first met Parker when her previous project, My Bee's Garden, toured as a backing band for Tame Impala on their 2010 European tour.
After the release of their debut album, Melody's Echo Chamber toured extensively. But then he went on a long hiatus and
Prochet moved to Sweden. A new one is scheduled to come out in 2017. However, a serious accident suffered by Prochet meant that Bon Voyage only arrived in 2018 after his recovery. Then she walked away from music to start a family.
In 2022, Melody's Echo Chamber returned with the highly acclaimed Emotional Eternal, released by Domino. Also in 2022, she released Unfold, an album with songs that began to be written in 2012 with Kevin Parker and that were abandoned with the end of her relationship with the leader of Tame Impala.
