Filthy Friends

The band Filthy Friends was formed in 2012, initially as a group of friends to play David Bowie songs. The supergroup formed by Corin Tucker (Sleater-Kinney), Peter Buck (R.E.M.), Kurt Bloch, Scott McCaughey (The Minus 5) and Bill Rieflin released a single titled "Despierta" in 2016, which was part of the project "30 Days, 30 Songs", a compilation of songs by various artists against then-US presidential candidate Donald Trump.

In June 2017, the band announced the release of their first album. Titled Invitation, the album was released in August 2017. In 2019, the band released Emerald Valley.
