Best known as vocalist for The Kills, Alison Nicole Mosshart on November 23, 1978 in Vero Beach, Florida. Prior to The Kills, she was a member of a pop-punk band called Discount, which was active between 1995 and 2000.

Alison Mosshart co-founded The Kills in 2000 with English musician Jamie Hince. The band became one of the main revelations of indie rock in the early 2000s with their music that moves between garage rock and blues rock.

In 2009, she joined the Dead Weather, a supergroup also formed by Jack White, Jack Lawrence and Dean Fertita.

Alison Mosshart released her first two solo singles, "Rise" and "It Ain’t Water", in 2020.
