Chet “JR” White, bassist and producer of the band Girls, passed away last Sunday, the 18th, at the age of 40. The cause of death is not known.
White formed the band in 2007 alongside Christopher Owens.
After two praised albums, Girls broke up in 2012 due to differences between the two members.
Owens followed a solo career and Chet “JR” White continued as producer.
Christopher Owens wrote on Twitter:
I hope you feel nothing but peace now my brother. I love you, and thank you for believing in me, and for what you brought to the table. Always and Forever, and I’ll always be proud of you... I’ll always remember you protecting Liza, Patrick, myself and Beta from the jerks.
