The Avalanches

The Avalanches' third album shouldn't take a long time to arrive, as with the second, Wildflower, released in 2016, sixteen years after Since I Left You, their debut.

The Australian group has released two new songs that will be part of the next album, still without details about its release.

“Wherever You Go”

“Wherever You Go" features collaborations by Jamie xx, Neneh Cherry, Mick Jones (The Clash) and CLYPSO. The song features samples from Voyager Golden Record, phonographic disc with sounds of nature, greetings in 55 languages, works by Beethoven and Mozart , folk songs and also Chuck Berry's song "Johnny B. Goode", which was placed by NASA on board Voyager 1 and 2 space probes in 1977. At the time, the purpose of the NASA committee headed by Carl Sagan was that copies of the Voyager Golden Record were found by some alien species or by civilizations in the very distant future.

“Reflecting Light”

The second song, “Reflecting Light”, has the collaboration of Sananda Maitreya, an American singer who until the first half of the 1990s was known as Terence Trent D'Arby.
