Pato Fu

Brazilian band formed in 1992 in the city of Belo Horizonte by John Ulhoa (voice, guitar, keyboards), Ricardo Koctus (bass, voice) and Fernanda Takai (voice, guitar), the band Pato Fu released their first album, Rotomusic de Liquidificapum, in 1993. The album stood out for its experimental pop that would become one of the brands of the group's music.

In 1995, Xande (drums) joined the band. That same year the album Gol de Quem? was released. This album is Pato Fu's first big hit: "Sobre o Tempo". In the sequence came Tem Mas Acabou (1996), Televisão de Cachorro (1998) and Isopor (1999), records that brought some hits that established the group in the Brazilian pop/rock scene, such as "Canção Pra Você Viver Mais", "Perdendo Dentes", "Made In Japan" and "Depois".

On the sixth album, Ruído Rosa from 2001, Pato Fu sought new paths for his music, going to mix eight tracks at the studio Strongroom, in London, where artists like U2, Radiohead, Travis, among others. Clive Goddard, who worked with artists like Primal Scream, was responsible for mixing.

Ruído Rosa brought the re-recordings of the songs "Eu" (Frank Jorge), "Ando Meio Desligado" (Mutantes) and the unrecognizable "Tolices" (Ira!).

In 2002, in celebration of the ten years of his career, Pato Fu released the album MTV ao Vivo in CD and DVD formats, recorded at the Museu de Arte da Pampulha in Belo Horizonte. The album features hits by the band and four new songs. From this album on, keyboardist and pianist Lulu Camargo (ex-Karnak) became a member of the group.

In 2005 the album Toda Cura Para Todo Mal came out, which inaugurates the band's own label, Rotomusic. Daqui pro Futuro, the eighth studio album, was released in 2007. In 2008, Fernanda Takai released her first solo album, entitled Onde Brilhem os Olhos Seus.

In 2010, Pato Fu released a cover album, entitled Música de Brinquedo, which was recorded using only toy instruments. In 2014, the band announced the departure of drummer Xande Tamietti, who was replaced by Glauco from the group Tianastácia. In the same year the album Não Pare Pra Pensar came out, the first of new songs since Daqui pro Futuro.

The band released in 2017 the album Música de Brinquedo 2, the sequel to the work released in 2010.
