Australian singer/songwriter/guitarist Courtney Barnett, whose music transitions between folk, lo-fi and indie rock elements, released her first EP, I've Got A Friend Called Emily Ferris, in 2012. The following year The EP How to Carve a Carrot into a Rose came out. These two EPs were brought together in the compilation The Double EP: A Sea of Split Peas, which had an international release in 2013.
Her first album, Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit, came out in May 2015. In 2017, she released a collaborative album with American Kurt Vile entitled Lotta Sea Lice. The following year, Courtney Barnett released her second solo album, Tell Me How You Really Feel.
Co-produced by singer and Stella Mozgawa (better known as Warpaint's drummer), Things Take Time, Take Time arrived in 2021.
