Band formed in 2009 by singer and songwriter Dylan Baldi, Cloud Nothings has its music associated with genres such as noise rock, lo-fi, post-hardcore and indie rock. In 2010, the Carpark Records label released Turning On, a compilation of the group's first recordings.

Still on Carpark Records, Cloud Nothings released the albums Cloud Nothings (2011), Attack on Memory (2012), Here and Nowhere Else (2014), Life Without Sound (2017) and Last Building Burning (2018). In 2020, the band released The Black Hole Understands on the Bandcamp platform. In 2021, the group returned with The Shadow I Remember, an album written in 2020, during the quarantine of the COVID-19 pandemic.
