Best Coast

Bethany Cosentino began writing her first songs in her teens. Under the name Bethany Sharayah, she posted her first songs on her MySpace page. In 2009, Bethany Cosentino formed the Best Coast with multi-instrumentalist Bobb Bruno. The Los Angeles band drew inspiration from garage rock, 1960s surf pop and lo-fi for their music.

Best Coast released in 2009, the EP Where the Boys Are, with five songs. In 2010, their first album, titled Crazy For You, was released on the Mexican Summer label. In August 2011, the band released the music video for the single "Our Deal", directed by Drew Barrymore. In May of the following year, The Only Place, the second album, came out.

In October 2013, the band released the EP Fade Away.California Nights, the third album, arrived in 2015. Five years later, in February 2020, Always Tomorrow was released.
