Alanis Morissette was one of the most successful pop/rock singers to emerge in the 1990s. Her debut album, Jagged Little Pill (1995), sold more than 30 million copies worldwide and brought radio hits like "You Oughta Know "," Hand in My Pocket "," Ironic "," You Learn "and" Head over Feet ".
Canadian from Ottawa, Alanis Nadine Morissette was born on June 1, 1974. Before becoming known worldwide with agged Little Pill, the singer and songwriter had released two albums in Canada under the name Alanis: Alanis (1991) and Now Is the Time (1992), based on the dance-pop style.
After the success of Jagged Little Pill, Alanis Morissette released the album Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie in 1998. Despite some hits, like "Thank U", and being commercially successful, the album did not achieve the same success as the previous one.
In 2002, the singer released Under Rug Swept, an album produced by the artist herself. She also participated as a co-producer on his next album, So-Called Chaos (2004).
Alanis Morissette returned with a new studio album in 2008, when she released Flavors of Entanglement. In 2012, Havoc and Bright Lights came out, followed by 2020's Such Pretty Forks in the Road.
