Saiu hoje na Inglaterra a edição da NME com os melhores da década, conforme anunciado ontem, os americanos dos Strokes venceram a votação com o álbum “Is This It”, seguidos pelos ingleses do The Libertines e os escoceses do Primal Scream.
Na lista ainda figuram nomes conhecidos como PJ Harvey, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Blur, White Stripes, Arcade Fire, entre outros. A votação incluiu as escolhas de bandas como Radiohead e Arctic Monkeys, além dos produtores e editores da NME.
Em entrevista à publicação britânica, Julian Casablancas, líder dos Strokes, disse o seguinte: "Gravar [Is This It] foi divertido. Foi enervante, foi excitante". "Quer dizer que foi uma boa ou má década em termos musicais? Não sei, sou péssimo a analisar as minhas coisas".
