The Linda Lindas is an American pop-punk band formed in 2018 in Los Angeles by Bela Salazar (guitar, vocals), Eloise Wong (bass, vocals) and sisters Lucia de la Garza (guitar, vocals) and Mila de la Garza (drums, vocals). At the time, they were between 7 and 13 years old. The first meeting was to participate in a festival called Girlschool as a group of "raw kids" supporting Kristin Kontrol. Months later the girls had formed the band and opened shows for artists like Bleached, Best Coast and Bikini Kill.
In May 2021, a video of the band performing the song "Racist, Sexist Boy" in a library in Los Angeles went viral and complimentary mentions came from the likes of Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine, Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Thurston Moore and Kathleen Hanna from Bikini Kill. Still in 2021, The Linda Lindas signed with Epitaph Records. The following year came Growing Up, the first album.
The band released their second album, No Obligation, in 2024.
