Florence + The Machine

Led by English Florence Leontine Mary Welch, born on August 28, 1987 in London, the band Florence and the Machine was one of the revelations of British pop in 2008, with its music that combines elements of rock, soul, folk and punk, and points to influences from Kate Bush, PJ Harvey, Siouxsie and the Banshees, among others.

Florence Welch and other collaborating musicians formed the band in 2007. The praise of the press led the band to participate in several European festivals, such as Glastonbury, Reading and T in the Park. In 2009, Florence and the Machine released their debut album, the critically acclaimed Lungs. Two years later, in October 2011, the second, titled Ceremonials, came out.

How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, the third, was released in May 2015. The band returned with a new album in 2018 when they released High as Hope. In 2022, the group released Dance Fever.
