Flaming Lips fará versão de The Dark Side of the Moon; Henry Rollins e Peaches são alguns dos convidados

O Flaming Lips já se atreveu a fazer versões de Radiohead e White Stripes e incluí-las em alguns de seus EPs, mas agora a banda pretende dar um grande passo. Os americanos farão uma versão de um dos maiores discos da história do rock, “The Dark Side of the Moon” (1973) do Pink Floyd
 
Com seu último trabalho, “Embryonic”, recém chegado às lojas de discos, o vocalista do grupo de Oklahoma, Wayne Coyne, anunciou que interpretará essa clássica obra.
 
O álbum, que contaria com colaborações das bandas Stardeath e White Dwarf, além de convidados como Henry Rollins e Peaches, poderia ser lançado unicamente pelo iTunes. A dúvida seria se esta versão seguiria a psicodelia do último trabalho ou as melodias mais doces de “The Soft Bulletin”, e se as canções originais seriam respeitadas, como fizeram com as músicas do Radiohead, o www.flaminglips.comu se as reinventariam.
