Born in the English city of Hereford on December 30, 1986 as Elena Jane Goulding, pop singer Ellie Goulding signed in 2009 with Polydor Records, the label for which she released the EP An Introduction to Ellie Goulding in the same year.
In January 2010, Ellie Goulding won the "BBC Sound of (2010)", a traditional survey of critics and members of the music industry to nominate the most promising artist of the year.
Lights, her first album, was released in February 2010. The singer's music finds similarities with the work of artists like Florence + the Machine, Kate Nash, Lykke Li, Lily Allen, Lorde, among others.
In 2012, Ellie Goulding released Halcyon, her second album. Delirium, the third, came out in 2015. The singer released the album Brightest Blue in 2020. Its successor, Higher Than Heaven, arrived in 2023.
