Arcade Fire was formed in 2003 in the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, by the couple Win Butler and Régine Chassagne. His training expanded with Richard Reed Parry, Tim Kingsbury, Sarah Neufeld, William Butler and Jeremy Gara.
With the release of their first album, Funeral, in 2004 on the Merge Records label, the group became a phenomenon in the indie rock scene. Not only because of the praise the record received, but much more for the fantastic live performances. In addition to the basic drums, guitar and bass, Arcade Fire uses various musical instruments, such as xylophone, keyboard, accordion, cello, violin, viola, keyboard, harp, etc.
In 2007, the band released another celebrated album, Neon Bible. Three years later came The Suburbs, the third. Co-produced by Markus Dravs, James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem) and the band themselves, Reflektor, the band's fourth album, came out in October 2013. Everything Now album co-produced by Markus Dravs, Geoff Barrow (Portishead), Steve Mackey (Pulp) and Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk), was released in July 2017.
Titled We, the sixth album was released in 2022.
