The Girl on the Cover of You Made Me Realize

There has always been a mystery about the girl with the knife over her neck on the cover of You Made Me Realize. Some fans believed that she would be Bilinda Butcher, although there is visibly no resemblance to the band's guitarist and vocalist.

However, in a Twitter post in 2018, Lush's Miki Berenyi revealed that the girl was a friend of the bands at that time and was called Melanie. In the same post, Berenyi also published a photo with both of them in 1988.

A user of the aforementioned social network asked Berenyi about Melanie's whereabouts. The answer was:

I'm afraid I don't know. I lost touch with her decades ago.

The mystery remained about Melanie's fate after that moment at the end of the 1980s.
