Clairo is an American indie pop singer who emerged in 2017 with a viral video for the song "Pretty Girl". Born Claire Elizabeth Cottrill on August 18, 1998 in Atlanta, Georgia, she spent part of her teenage years posting songs and covers on services like Soundcloud and Youtube.
In 2019, Clairo released her first album, Immunity, co-produced by Rostam Batmanglij, formerly of Vampire Weekend. This work by the singer came under labels such as soft rock, bedroom pop and electropop.
Her second album, titled Sling, was released in 2021.
